The idea of blackjack is to gain cards which add up to 21 or as close to 21 as possible. Going over 21 means you've lost the hand.
Face cards being Kings, Queens and Jacks are worth 10 points to you. Aces can be worth 1 or 11 depending on the casino you are playing or what rules are set before the game. All other cards have a value of their number e.g. a 4 is worth 4 points, a 7 is worth 7 points etc etc.
